About Korean American National Museum – The Korean American National Museum (KANM) was founded in 1991 to plan and operate the nation’s first and only institution devoted to preserving, studying, and presenting the Korean American community’s cultural heritage. The museum has since operated out of a temporary site in LA’s Koreatown. This new building will provide a permanent space for the museum’s exhibitions and become a focal point for cultural exchange and education within the community.
