San Francisco, CA – On Thursday February 9th, 2017 the board of directors of Meals on Wheels San Francisco (MOWSF) approved the launch of a $35 million capital campaign to build a new kitchen and operations facility and to transform its existing headquarters into an administrative center. Cogeo was retained to direct the campaign. The announcement marks an important new era for MOWSF and subsequently the senior client population the organization serves throughout the greater San Francisco Bay Area.
Ashley McCumber, CEO of Meals on Wheels San Francisco (www.mowsf.org) commented on the opportunity the campaign brings to the organization and the role Cogeo will play: “We’re delighted to have Cogeo assist us with the direction of this three year campaign to raise $35,000,000 from private sources. The new 38,000 square foot state-of-the-art kitchen and production center and the expansion of current offices and program space will ensure that no homebound senior in San Francisco is forgotten, hungry, or without the support they need to live with dignity and independence. This campaign will create the platform to meet the need for decades to come. Rob Kusel has been a trusted partner throughout the years and we are excited for this campaign to fully succeed.”
Kusel, Cogeo’s Managing Director of Consulting, shares his sentiment about the campaign: “Over the past nine years, MOWSF has experienced tremendous progression and maturity. This campaign is the culmination of discipline and hard work, and will be fundamental to the future success of the organization.”
